Holiday Closures 2026

The City of Twin Falls observes the following days as legal holidays and city offices are closed:

January 1, 2026 – New Year’s Day

January 19, 2026 – Martin Luther King Day

February 16, 2026 – Presidents Day

May 25, 2026 – Memorial Day

June 19, 2026 – Juneteenth

July 3, 2026 – Independence Day

September 7, 2026 – Labor Day

November 11, 2026 – Veteran’s Day

November 26 - 27, 2026 – Thanksgiving Day

December 24 – 25, 2026 – Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Additional Holidays

In addition, the Friday after Thanksgiving is recognized as a holiday, and as a result city offices are closed. If Christmas (December 25) falls on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday; Christmas Eve (December 24) shall be observed as a holiday and city offices shall be closed.

If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the City of Twin Falls shall observe the holiday the preceding Friday. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, the city shall observe the holiday on the following Monday.

Garbage Collection

When one of the following holidays falls on Monday through Friday, garbage collection will be one day behind:

  • Christmas Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Memorial Day
  • New Year’s Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
