Dierkes Lake Reopened; Samples Show Non-hazardous Algae The city has reopened Dierkes Lake Park after test results showed the discoloration in the lake is not harmful. Tests showed that the lake’s vivid green hue is the result of Carteria — a normal algae growth that is not harmful to humans, pets or wildlife.

Vehicle Fees to Shoshone Falls Begin March 30 The City of Twin Falls will charge vehicle fees to Shoshone Falls Park and Dierkes Lake beginning Friday, March 30 through the end of September. The city charges vehicle fees during spring and summer to help cover the cost of park maintenance.
