Request for Water Meter Install
Welcome to the City of Twin Falls Water Department Meter Installation Request.
Please read all information carefully before requesting a meter install.
In accordance with City Code 7-8-2:
It shall be unlawful for any person to maliciously, willfully or negligently break, damage, destroy, uncover, deface or tamper with any structure, appurtenance or equipment which is a part of the water supply system or for any person except authorized city employees, to operate or attempt to draw water from or obstruct, cover or otherwise deny or restrict access to or the use of any fire hydrant, water meter, valve or other outlet or access point designed for the use of the city personnel unless written permission is obtained from the water superintendent.
In accordance with Resolution No. 2019-11 adopted September 9, 2019 by the Mayor and City Council of Twin Falls, any persons or entities found by the City of Twin Falls to have tampered with a city water meter will be subject to a fine of $200.00.
Meter Turn On
If water is not turned on at the time of install and you would like it turned on please contact Utility Billing at 208-735-7249 or 208-735-7250. Turning water on or off at the meter by anyone other than City of Twin Falls Water Department personnel is prohibited and will result in a $200.00 tampering fine as written above.
Meters will not be installed on any lot if:
1. The meter tile is full of dirt.
2. The meter tile boxes are broke.
3. The meter tile boxes are not set to the proper grade/elevation!
4. Please make sure the meter tile is accessible (portable toilets, or dumpsters)
