Voter and Candidate Information
You can get information about voter registration, requirements and when and where to vote from the Twin Falls County Clerk, City of Twin Falls Clerk or from the Secretary of State.

In addition, if you are a resident living in the City of Twin Falls, you can register to vote at Twin Falls City Hall. The registration deadline to vote in the November 7, 2017 City Council election is 5 p.m. October 13, 2017.

The deputy city clerk gives out petition forms to candidates running for City Council along with campaign financial disclosure reporting forms, declaration of candidacy, and manual for candidates. For more information, please email or call Deputy City Clerk Sharon Bryan, , (208) 735-7245.

The following are important dates to remember during the 2017 City Council election:


August 28, 2017 Candidate filing period opens at 8:00 AM
September 8, 2017 Candidate filing period closes at 5:00 PM
September 25, 2017 Deadline for candidates to withdraw their candidacy by filing a notarized statement of withdrawal with the City Clerk.
October 10, 2017 Deadline for write-in candidates to file their declaration of intent with the city clerk indicating the office and term for which they are running and affirming their qualifications to hold the office, if elected.
October 13, 2017 Last day to pre-register to vote for November 7, 2017 election; voters may still register when voting in-person absentee, early voting, or at polling place on Election Day.
October 27, 2017 Mail-in absentee ballot requests must be received by 5:00 PM by the county clerk.
November 3, 2017 Last day for in-person absentee voting or early voting, which ends at 5:00 PM
November 7, 2017 Election Day.  Polls open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
