The Magic Valley Regional Airport is inviting passengers to enroll in the popular TSA PreCheck program, which expedites the screening process for low-risk passengers who can then enjoy a more efficient screening experience. To help passengers enroll in the program, the Transportation Security Administration will host a local enrollment event beginning June 17 through 21 in the Snake River Room at the Magic Valley Regional Airport.
TSA PreCheck travelers are not required to remove shoes, 3-1-1 liquids, laptops, light outerwear or belts. TSA PreCheck has more than 450 lanes at more than 200 airports. And beginning this fall, the Magic Valley Regional Airport will offer a dedicated TSA PreCheck lane during key boarding times.
To participate in this local enrollment event, please schedule an appointment by following these easy steps:
1. Go to www.tsa.gov/precheck and select “Apply Now”
2. Complete the steps and choose “Next” at the bottom of each screen
3. Type in your location at Zipcode/City/Airport Code box
4. Choose location “Magic Valley Regional Airport” and click “Next”
5. Select your desired appointment time (Please be sure to make note of your appointment time, no reminders will be sent out)
To complete the application process, you will need to bring proof of identity and U.S. citizen documentation (such as a U.S. Passport or a birth certificate and a driver license). If you have a valid U.S. passport, that is all you need for identification.
The TSA PreCheck application process is completed on site. Applicants will be required to provide fingerprints for a background check and collect the $85 application fee, which covers a five-year period. The fee can be paid by credit card, money order, company check, or certified/cashier's check. Cash and personal checks are not accepted.
