[ARCHIVED] Festival of Lights Parade - Road Closures

Festival of Lights Parade

Festival of Lights Parade

Friday – November 30, 2018 - 6:00 pm

The Festival of Lights Parade, sponsored by the Times News, will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.  The parade will be held on Main Avenue in Twin Falls and begin near the area of the Magic Valley High School.  The Twin Falls Police Department will be closing Main Street from the intersection of Main Avenue and Murtaugh Street to the intersection of Main Avenue and Castleford Street.  Shoshone St. will also be closed between 2nd Avenue East/North and 2nd Avenue West /South.  The street closures will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday evening and will remain closed until the parade is over and the pedestrian traffic has safely dispersed.

The Twin Falls Police Department encourages drivers to be cautious while driving in the area and to plan ahead, expect traffic delays when traveling through this area.  Due to decreased lighting during nighttime and possible winter weather conditions, we would like to remind parents to please monitor their children closely during the parade activities.

No parking will be allowed on Main Avenue from Jerome Street to Fairfield Street to safely allow room for spectators and the floats in that area.  Parking will be allowed outside of that area for those that wish to observe the parade from vehicles.
