[ARCHIVED] Traffic Signal and Sidewalk Ramp Upgrades on Shoshone Street

Public Works Department

Beginning Monday, Sept. 10, the City of Twin Falls will begin upgrading traffic signals and ADA ramps at several intersections on Shoshone Street.

Upgrades to the traffic signals will include new dedicated left-turn lanes and signals, as well as new ramps that are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Traffic delays should be expected and drivers are asked to detour around the intersections when possible.

Signal and ramp upgrades will begin at the intersection of Sixth Avenue West and Minidoka Avenue. Upgrades will proceed on Shoshone Street through the intersections at Second Avenue West, Second Avenue East, Fourth Avenue North, Sixth Avenue North.

The signal and rap upgrades are expected to be completed in early December, with most work occurring within the sidewalks and ramps.
