The Twin Falls City Council appointed Shayne Nope as the Twin Falls City Attorney on Monday, Nov. 5. Nope was sworn into office by Mayor Shawn Barigar at the meeting.
Nope served as the Deputy City Attorney for the City of Twin Falls since 2014. He received his bachelor’s degree from the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University and law degree from the University of Idaho, College of Law. Nope has worked with the Idaho Municipal Attorneys association since 2012 and currently serves as the association’s president.
The position of City Attorney was previously held by Fritz Wonderlich, who retired after 31 years of service to the City of Twin Falls.
