Residents Encouraged to Participate In Survey for Community Recreation Center

The City of Twin Falls has commissioned needs assessment surveys to help create a comprehensive plan for the development of a Community Center. Residents’ input is important to tailoring a plan that reflects the community’s aspirations and needs.

A random sampling of residents will be invited to take a survey that will provide statistically valid results. In addition, the city will also invite all residents to provide input through an online survey that will be made available on the city’s website at tfid.org beginning July 24. The results of this survey will provide critical information in determining potential amenities, community programming, and funding options for the city’s long-term planning efforts.

The project is led by Barker Rinker Seacat Architecture with survey and data work done by RRC Associates. A total of 3,500 households in Twin Falls will be mailed a survey beginning July 10, and responses from these residents will comprise the statistically-valid sample.  The online survey will give all residents an opportunity to provide feedback, and their responses will be included in the final report. Results from the online survey will be kept separate from the statistically valid responses, but these responses will none-the-less provide valuable feedback for the city.

Questions regarding the survey for a Twin Falls Community Center should be directed to Wendy Davis, Parks and Recreation Director, at 208-736-2265
