Posted on: April 23, 2018[ARCHIVED] Community Invited to Join in Arbor Day Celebration; City Receives 20th Consecutive Award
The City of Twin Falls invites you to attend the 2018 Arbor Day Celebration at 4 p.m., Friday, April 27 at the Oregon Trail Youth Complex located at Lois Street and Park Avenue.
The city will be presented with its 2017 Tree City USA Award from the National Arbor Day Foundation, which marks the twentieth consecutive year that the City of Twin Falls has received the Tree City USA award.
Twin Falls Mayor, Shawn Barigar will read the proclamation declaring April 27, 2018 as Twin Falls Arbor Day at the city council meeting on Monday, April 23. As part of the ceremony, volunteers from Cactus Pete’s, The Twin Falls Parks and Recreation Commission, as well as other community volunteers will plant four trees at Oregon Trail Youth Complex.
