[ARCHIVED] Twin Falls Police Department to Hold Community Briefing Regarding Saturday Shooting

At 4:30 p.m. (MST) on Monday, May 9, the Twin Falls Police Department will hold a briefing to update members of the media and the community on the investigation into the shooting of Vason Wideman, 16, of Twin Falls.

On Saturday, May 7th, Wideman was shot multiple times while riding his bicycle in the vicinity of the North Pointe Ranch subdivision at the intersection of North College Road and Northern Pine Drive. Although witnesses and officers attempted CPR, Wideman was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are seeking the public’s help in bringing those responsible to justice.

The briefing will be held at the Twin Falls City Council Chambers located at 305 Third Ave. East. Craig Kingsbury, Twin Falls Police Chief, will be providing the statement and will have limited time for questions. We would like to remind those in attendance that we cannot comment on the details of an ongoing investigation.
