[ARCHIVED] Shooting Leaves One Dead; Twin Falls Police Pursuing Leads on Suspects

At approximately 3:50 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, the Twin Falls Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the vicinity of the North Pointe Ranch subdivision. When officers arrived, they found a male juvenile who had succumbed to gun shot wounds at the intersection of North College Road and Northern Pine Drive.

The identity of the victim has not been released, as officials are still trying to reach the next of kin. Police are working to corroborate witness statements to better identify the suspects.

Although police have no evidence to believe that there is an immediate threat to the public, they would like to remind the community that there is one or more individuals who violently took the life of a young man in Twin Falls. Those suspects remain at large and are still considered armed and dangerous. The Twin Falls Police Department is using every possible resource to bring the suspect or suspects to justice, and we would encourage the public to contact us if they have any information regarding this incident.

“The Twin Falls Police Department is saddened by this act of violence in our community,” said Craig Kingsbury, Twin Falls Police Department’s Chief of Police. “We are designating our resources to identify and apprehend the suspects in this incident, and we want to assure the community that we will bring those responsible to justice.”

The deceased was turned over to the Twin Falls County Coroner’s Office. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Twin Falls Police Department at 208-735-4357.
