At approximately 3:50 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, the Twin Falls Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the vicinity of the North Pointe Ranch subdivision. When officers arrived, they found a male juvenile who had succumbed to gun shot wounds at the intersection of North College Road and Northern Pine Drive.
The identity of the victim has not been released, as officials are still trying to reach the next of kin. Police are working to corroborate witness statements to better identify the suspects; however, various leads indicate that the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
“The Twin Falls Police Department is saddened by this act of violence in our community,” said Craig Kingsbury, Twin Falls Police Department’s Chief of Police. “We are designating our resources to identify and apprehend the suspects in this incident, and we want to assure the community that we will bring those responsible to justice.”
