The Twin Falls Police Department will host the fourth annual Beat the Heat 5K at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 14 at Twin Falls City Park. There will be lots of prizes and all proceeds from the event will help support local Special Olympians.
Participants must register at www.bluecirclesports.com by Monday, May 9 in order to receive a shirt on the race day.
Craig Kingsbury, Chief of Police, Twin Falls Police Department, will be this year's 'rabbit'. Any participants who can outrun the 'rabbit' to the finish line will be awarded a challenge coin. Several gift cards and prizes have been donated by the Running Shu company, Anchor Bistro, La Casita, Kona Coffee & Cakes, Maxie’s pizza, Slice, Twin Falls Sandwich Co., Guppies Hot Rod Café, Cycle Therapy, The Pizza Pie Cafe and more.
All proceeds from Beat the Heat will benefit the local Magic Valley Special Olympics Team. Please register soon to take part in this fun community event, and help support our local Special Olympians.
