[ARCHIVED] Twin Falls Police Department to Host Drug Awareness Program

The Twin Falls Police Department and Twin Falls Parks and Recreation Department will host a drug awareness program to educate parents, grandparents, and other guardians about drug trends in the community.

The program will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 3 at the Twin Falls Parks and Recreation Department building located at 136 Maxwell Ave. There is no cost to attend the program.

Officer Jerry Hutchison with the Twin Falls Police Department will discuss new trends, such as synthetics and prescription drugs, which are becoming more widely available to youth. He will also discuss how guardians can recognize signs of drug use and how to speak to youth about drugs and alcohol.

The program is part of the City of Twin Falls’ ongoing efforts to prevent drug and alcohol abuse among youth in the community. For more information, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 208-736-2265
