[ARCHIVED] Twin Falls Fire Department Responds to Structure Fire

The Twin Falls Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a structure fire that involved a detached garage at approximately 5:14 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 8.

Four trucks with a total of 11 firefighters responded to the incident at 290 Locust St. North in Twin Falls. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the detached garage. Firefighters entered the garage and discovered flames inside, which they were able to quickly fight back and contain. The fire was under control at approximately 5:40 p.m.

One occupant of the residence was transported to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Hospital for minor burns and smoke inhalation.

There was significant damage to the detached garage, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. More information will be released as it becomes available.
