[ARCHIVED] Get Up and Get Movin'

Tired of the snow and cold? Ready for spring? Want to learn about ways to get active in our community? Then come out for Get Movin' Day, presented by Activate Magic Valley, on Saturday, January 9 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the tennis courts at the Elizabeth Street YMCA in Twin Falls. This event features vendors that represent businesses, clubs, organizations, and activities that all have one thing in common - they will get you moving!

There will be stage demonstrations, opportunities to try different activities, food vendors, and more. Grab a passport and have it stamped by vendors at this event along with one Cabin Fever Day activity, and be entered to win the grand prize - a year family membership to the Magic Valley YMCA.

"This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about what options are available in our community to get out, get moving, and live a more active and healthy lifestyle, " said Mandi Thompson, City of Twin Falls Community Relations Manager and Activate Magic Valley Board Member. "The event is held in conjunction with the Parks and Recreation Department's annual Cabin Fever Day to encourage even more people to participate and increase visibility for both events."

Both Get Movin' Day and Cabin Fever Day are free to the public.
