The City of Twin Falls Parks and Recreation Department is seeking applicants for its Master Plan Steering Committee, which will guide efforts to update the long-term plan for park and open-space development and maintenance, as well as the development and continuation of recreational opportunities within the community.
The committee will use the City of Twin Falls’ Citizen Survey and other methods of citizen feedback to assess the community’s perception of current park offerings and recreational opportunities in the City. From that point, the committee will work with City staff to update the master plan to address issues and to maintain successful parks and recreation programs.
The 12-member committee is expected to meet once a month for six months at the Twin Falls City Council Chambers located at 305 Third Ave. West, but it may also be asked to visit offsite locations such as parks and facilities.
Anyone who is interested in serving on the committee, and who lives within the City of Twin Falls’ area of impact, should contact the Parks and Recreation Department Director at 208-736-2265 or at dbowyer@tfid.org by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24.
