[ARCHIVED] Festival of Lights Parade to Close Downtown Streets

The City of Twin Falls would like to encourage citizens to attend the annual Festival of Lights Parade in Historic Downtown Twin Falls on Friday, Dec. 6. The City is also encouraging drivers to plan accordingly, as there will be several lane closures in the downtown area.

The parade will begin at 6 p.m. on Main Avenue, which will be closed at 5:30 p.m. and will remain closed until about 7 p.m. Main Avenue will be closed from Murtaugh Street to Castleford Street. Shoshone Street will also be closed from Second Avenue East and North to Second Avenue West and South.

The City of Twin Falls is asking citizens to plan accordingly and to arrive early for the parade. Parents are encouraged to closely watch their children to prevent them from wandering into the street. The street is narrow and, in the past, participants in the parade have a difficult time navigating the narrow street.
