The City of Twin Falls Parks and Recreation Department has opened registration for boys basketball. The registration period will be open through Dec. 2. A late fee of $10 per family will be charged after Dec. 2.
Youth basketball provides an opportunity to learn teamwork and the fundamentals of basketball in a supportive environment. Teams are formed for youth in the kindergarten through seventh grade and are divided by both school and grade. There are no scores, standings, playoffs or championships in the kindergarten through third grade leagues.
Leagues involving kindergarten through third grade players will play at Robert Stuart Middle School, while players in the fourth through seventh grades will play at Vera C. O’Leary Middle School.
All players are required to wear the Twin Falls Parks and Recreation Departments’ red and white reversible jerseys, which are available for purchase for 10$ at the Parks and Recreation Department building located at 136 Maxwell Ave.
Registration is $20 for residents living inside the city limits and $35 for residents living outside the city limits.
The Parks and Recreation Department encourages volunteer coaches. All youth coaches will be required to submit to a confidential background check once a year.
