[ARCHIVED] Temporary Dog Park to Open in Twin Falls on Tuesday

The City of Twin Falls will open a temporary dog park in the area of Harmon Park located at Elizabeth Boulevard and Madrona Street on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Parks and Recreation Department workers will install a temporary fence along the dirt area of one infield on Monday, Sept. 30 to alleviate problems in the spring when the fields are again used for baseball and softball.

Baxter’s Dog Park is currently under construction at the northeast corner of Blake Street North and Shoup Avenue West after receiving financial support from the Magic Valley Canine Social Club, the City of Twin Falls and other private organizations. It will serve as Twin Falls’ first dog park.

Additional funds are needed to complete the project. Anyone interested in donating to the dog park fund, can go to the City’s website at www.tfid.org for more information.
