[ARCHIVED] One Person Killed in Early Morning House Fire

The Twin Falls Fire Department responded to an early morning structure fire in Twin Falls that
claimed the life of one person.

At 2:14 a.m. on Monday, Twin Falls Emergency Dispatch received a call regarding smoke and
flames coming from a home located at 321 5th Avenue East in Twin Falls. Three fire engines and
one command vehicle responded to fire, which was under control by 2:30 a.m. The Twin Falls
Police Department also assisted in traffic control and securing the scene.

Upon entering the house, fire fighters found one female who was unresponsive. Medical treatments
was administered until Magic Valley Paramedics arrived on the scene. The 54-year-old
female was the pronounced dead at the scene and transported to the Twin Falls County Coroner’s
office.

The female was believed to be the only person in the home at the time of the fire.

The fire is still under investigation, however, detectives have confirmed that there was no foul
play. Officials are waiting to release the name of the person killed in the fire until relatives have
been notified. Police and Fire detectives will disclose the cause of the fire when the investigation
is completed.
