[ARCHIVED] Tuesday Morning Fire Causes Heavy Damage to Twin Falls Home

Cindy Drive Fire

The Twin Falls Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a residential structure fire on the 600 block of Cindy Drive at 5:37 a.m. Tuesday, July 5. When firefighters arrived, they found significant fire coming from the front of the residence.

Firefighters determined that there were six adults and three children inside the residence when the fire started and all were able to evacuate on their own. Smoke detectors woke one of the residence to the smoke and fire. Some of the residents were treated by Magic Valley Paramedics at the scene for minor smoke inhalation.

Four engine companies — including one from Rock Creek Fire District — as well as additional medic- and command-units responded to the fire. The fire was under control at 6:05 a.m. It was determined to have started inside the living room area but the cause of the fire is still under investigation. More information will be released when it becomes available.

The Twin Falls Fire Department would like to encourage all residents to check their smoke detectors regularly - check batteries at least once a year.
