The public is invited to a ribbon cutting for the official opening of the Auger Falls Skills Park at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 1. The Skills Park is located in the Auger Falls Wetland Preserve by following signs from the parking area. The Skills Park has been developed over the past year and was recently completed with the addition of the signage to identify the trail flow.
The opening will include brief remarks from organizers of the park, as well as a ribbon cutting for the new trail signage. Access to the Skills Park is by dirt trail, so appropriate footwear is encouraged for anyone attending the ribbon cutting.
The Skills Park was a collaborative effort by MaVTEC, Dirt Trail Alliance, Blue Cross Foundation of Idaho, and City of Twin Falls to develop an area where cyclists can practice trail riding techniques. The park includes a downhill flow trail on about 2 acres in the Auger Falls Preserve. The skills park is for moderate to advanced cyclists and helmets are encouraged when riding.
