The City of Twin Falls Historic Preservation Commission has two vacancies open for immediate appointment, with a 3-year term. The volunteer commission is advisory to the City Council and meets the first Monday of every month at 3 p.m.
Residents of the City of Twin Falls who have an interest or experience in history, architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, engineering, archaeology, or law, are encouraged to apply. Property owners within one of the locally recognized historic districts are also encouraged to apply. Local historic districts include: the Warehouse, City Park and Downtown Districts. Applicants must live within the Twin Falls City limits.
Historic Preservation meetings are focused on applications for Certificate of Appropriateness, Community Outreach, and Grant Applications to support historic preservation projects. There are times when members will volunteer time outside of the normal meeting schedule to plan, participate and research for special projects and events.
The City will be accepting applications until both vacancies are filled. Interested persons may apply using the Advisory Commission Members Application.
