[ARCHIVED] Groundbreaking Ceremony for City Fire Station #2 on Monday, May 9

The community is invited to join the City of Twin Falls and Twin Falls City Council in a groundbreaking ceremony for a new City Fire Station #2 at 3 p.m. Monday, May 9. The event will be held at the new location for Station #2 on Cheney Drive, east of the intersection at Washington Street North.

Those who plan to attend the groundbreaking are encouraged to arrive early and park in the temporary parking area off Cheney Drive adjacent to the fire station site. Additional parking will be available on the streets north of North College Road and Tommy’s Express Carwash. 

The event will include brief comments by the Twin Falls City Mayor, Ruth Pierce, and Twin Falls Fire Chief, Les Kenworthy, and will conclude with a ceremonial groundbreaking. More information about Fire Station#2 and the Twin Falls Fire Department Services will be made available at the groundbreaking, and is currently available at TFD.ORG
