The Twin Falls Urban Renewal Agency and the City of Twin Falls will dedicate the Agency’s newest public art project at about 12:45 p.m. Monday, Dec 13 in the alleyway at City Hall located at 203 Main Avenue East. The mural, entitled 'Magic of the Valley', is by Boise artist Matt Sunderman.
'Magic of the Valley' pays homage to the settlers of Magic Valley. The backdrop, an epic Idaho sky and vista, shows the settlers’ arrival in the valley and hints to the grueling conditions and the labor required to make this land their home. In the mural, a dress morphs into the Snake River and a collage of regional activities that Twin Falls offers today. The design is a nod to the past and present of Twin Falls, Idaho.
The public is welcome to attend the dedication, which will include brief comments from Sunderman and the Urban Renewal Agency. The dedication will take place after the Agency’s regular meeting.
