On July 12, 2021, at 12:52 a.m., Twin Falls Police were dispatched to 402 Main Avenue North, for a stabbing. Shortly after police arrived, they discovered the male victim lying on the ground with a large stab wound to his chest and right arm. A tourniquet was placed on his arm and a chest seal was placed over the chest wound. Officers were able to gain information and a possible location of the suspect. The suspect, Jesus Cristo Gonzales, 34, of Twin Falls, was located at 248 2nd Avenue West; he was arrested for Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Battery.
The 49-year-old victim, of Twin Falls, was life flighted due to the severity of his injuries. As the investigation continues, additional charges may be filed. Mr. Gonzales is, of course, presumed innocent of all charges until he has been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
Any further media inquiries should be directed to the Twin Falls County Prosecutor’s Office.
