Construction along South Hankins Road will begin on July 6 with full closures of two sections of that road planned this summer.
The project will remove deteriorated asphalt and replace it with new concrete to provide a smoother driving surface from Kimberly Road to the Perrine Coulee canal near Eldridge Avenue. The project will also rehabilitate the Eastern Idaho Railroad crossing. Construction will be phased with shoulder work along South Hankins Road scheduled first. Flaggers will guide motorists through the construction zone.
On July 5, a full closure is planned on South Hankins Road from Kimberly Road to approximately Eldridge Avenue. Motorists are encouraged to follow posted signs for a detour on Eastland Boulevard.
In mid-August, crews will move to South Hankins Road between Eldridge Avenue and 3700 North with a full closure and detour on Eastland Boulevard in place.
The City of Twin Falls anticipates this work will be completed in late-September. Motorists are encouraged to slow down and watch for crews and equipment around the work zone.
