Contractors with Idaho Power will be replacing a broken electrical line in the area of Falls Avenue between Sparks and Rose Streets beginning Monday, April 19 through Friday, May 14.
The eastbound lane on Falls Avenue between Sparks Street and Rose Street North will be close, and eastbound vehicle traffic will be diverted to the refugee lane. The east side of Briarwood Drive and Rosewood Drive will also bar closed to parking for part of the project. Access to residences will remain open.
The project will involve cutting and trenching along the street to expose and replace a high-voltage electrical line. Crews will repair the roadway after the project is completed.
Drivers are encouraged to detour around the project area if possible. Drivers should remember to reduce their speed and yield to workers and equipment. It is a citable offense in Idaho to use a cell phone while driving.
