The City of Twin Falls has reopened Shoshone Street South between Sixth Avenue West and South Park Avenue West. The street was closed on Sunday, Feb. 14, after a waterline break caused significant damage to the roadway.
Vehicle traffic had been asked to detour around the Shoshone Street bridge until the City Water and Street departments could repair the waterline and roadway. Crews worked expeditiously to repair and disinfect the waterline, and to repave and replace a large section of roadway that was damaged.
Work was completed early Tuesday afternoon and time was allowed for the pavement to cure. Beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, traffic may again use the bridge at Shoshone Street South. The public’s patience and understanding with the detours has been greatly appreciated during the repair project.
