[ARCHIVED] Canyon Rim Trail Section Closed for Emergency Power Line Repairs

Canyon Rim Trail Detour

The City of Twin Falls has closed a section of the Canyon Rim Trail between the Evel Knievel Jumpsite and Shoshone Falls Park. Idaho Power is making temporary emergency repairs to a power line in the area, and pedestrian traffic is being detoured around the project area.

The City of Twin Falls Parks & Recreation Department has posted a detour for pedestrians and cyclists on the trail. Signs have been posted to help direct pedestrian traffic along the detour route. Pedestrians and cyclists are asked to stay on the path for the temporary detour, and are reminded that mortised vehicles are prohibited on City trails.

Idaho Power is expected to be working on the temporary repairs through the weekend. And the trail section is expected to be reopened next week. Please continue to watch the City website for a reopening date.
