Contractors with the Twin Falls School District will upgrade fiber optic lines on Jerome Street between Blue Lakes Boulevard and Minidoka Avenue beginning Wednesday, Jan. 6. The upgrades are expected to be completed by Wednesday, Jan. 13.
No lanes or streets will be closed during the project, however, drivers should slow down and use caution when driving in the area of Second Avenue East and Jerome Street as well as Second Avenue South and Jerome Street. Flaggers will direct traffic around work crews, which will be installing fiber optic in overhead utility lines.
