Contractors with Idaho Transportation Department and American Geotechnical will be taking pavement samples from Kimberly Road between Blue Lakes Boulevard and Eastland Drive beginning Thursday, Sept. 24 through Friday, Oct. 2.
While crews are pulling pavement samples, the outside lanes on Kimberly Road between Blue Lakes Boulevard and Eastland Drive will be closed in both directions from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Drivers should use an alternate route if possible, or expect intermittent delays on Kimberly Road. Local access will be maintained during the project.
The pavement samples will help engineers investigate sub-surface conditions, which will help with planning for pavement rehabilitation on Kimberly Road.
