The City of Twin Falls will close lanes on Second Avenue West and South Washington beginning at 5 a.m. Thursday, July 30 to repair a broken waterline.
During the repair, the outside right lane on Second Avenue West will be closed from Washington Street to about Buhl Street. And Washington Street South will be reduced to one turn lane, and one southbound lane, where it merges onto Second Avenue West.
The waterline repair is expected to be completed and all lanes reopened by 7 p.m. the same day. Repairs are scheduled early to give workers more time to work during cooler temperatures.
Drivers should reduce their speed and follow all posted traffic controls in the project area. And drivers are reminded that it is citable offense to operate a motor vehicle with an electronic device in-hand, according to the hands-free only law enacted on July 1.
