Beginning on Wednesday, April 22, the City of Twin Falls will start construction work on Locust Street North between Falls Avenue and North College Road.
Concrete work, performed by JS Custom Crete, will include the construction of new sidewalks and curb ramps, reconstruction of damaged and deteriorated curb and gutter, and updating existing curb ramps to current accessibility standards.
These public safety and accessibility improvements on the Locust Street corridor are anticipated to be completed by early July. Locust Street is expected to remain open, but traffic delays should be anticipated during this construction period, so the public is encouraged to use alternate routes.
Contractors with the City of Twin Falls will close Locust Street North between Stadium Boulevard and Filer Ave East beginning April 29 through May 1 to complete warranty work that will replace a section of asphalt roadway.
Closing all lanes will expedite the project and increase worker safety. Lanes will be reopened after working hours each evening. Questions regarding the warranty work should be directed to Josh Baird, City Staff Engineer, at 208-735-7323.
