[ARCHIVED] City of Twin Falls Selects Breanna Howard as City CFO

Breanna Howard

After a thorough review process, the City of Twin Falls is pleased to announce that it has selected Breanna Howard as the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Twin Falls.

The City advertised the position in November 2019 and received 30 applications from 10 states. A team comprised of city staff and the vice-mayor conducted Skype interviews with the candidates, and subsequently narrowed the candidate pool to four finalists who were interviewed in-person. Howard was selected after extensive interviews with the finalists.

The City CFO is an executive level position and both Idaho Code and City Code define the process required to confirm the appointment. Lorie Race, who has served the City of Twin Falls for almost 21 years, including 10 years as the Chief Financial Officer, will retire in May.

Howard has more than 12 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant. Before joining the City of Twin Falls, she worked as a CPA in Twin Falls for Cooper Norman, where she started her professional career. She graduated Valedictorian from Kimberly High School and earned her Bachelors in Accounting from Boise State University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Howard was raised in Southern Idaho and enjoys spending time with her family, playing and exploring with her 2-year old little boy, running, biking, hiking and being outdoors. She also enjoys traveling to different countries with her family to learn about historical places and different cultures.
