Customers of the City of Twin Falls’ Trash and Recycling Collection Service are reminded that they may discard old Christmas trees with curbside trash collection at no additional cost.
Customers are asked to cut trees into sections that are 4 feet, or less, and then place them next to trash bins during scheduled trash collection days.
Households that do not participate in the City of Twin Falls Trash and Recycling Collection Service may discard old Christmas trees for a small fee at the Twin Falls Transfer Station located at 2186 Orchard Drive East.
Please do not dispose of Christmas trees at the Twin Falls Parks and Recreation Department at 170 Maxwell Street. The City discontinued the tree chipping service in 2015 due to safety and environmental concerns. Any dumping at the location is prohibited under Idaho Code 31-4410.
