The City of Twin Falls and the Twin Falls Archway Committee will hold a ground-breaking event for the new Twin Falls Archway at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 at Shoshone Street on the City Park side of the street near the band shell.
The archway, which will span across Shoshone Street, will serve as an entryway to Downtown Twin Falls and will display information about city events and other information for residents and visitors. The archway project was proposed by residents of the City of Twin Falls, who formed the Twin Falls Archway Committee to lead the effort.
Twin Falls Mayor Shawn Barigar will briefly explain the future archway and recognize the community donors who made it possible.
Parking is available at City Park. Those planning to attend the event are encouraged to also visit the Festival of Lights Parade and Tree Lighting on Main Avenue immediately after the ground-breaking event.
Questions regarding the Twin Falls Archway should be directed to Kathy Markus, City of Twin Falls’ Information Technology Director, at kmarkus@tfid.org or 208-735-7222.
