Message from the Fire Chief

It is my most sincere pleasure to welcome you to the Twin Falls Fire Department web page.  I invite you to take some time to browse the site.  We have tried to provide you information that will be of assistance in making you and your family better prepared for emergency situations.

I am honored to be your Fire Chief for the City of Twin Falls.  We are an organization of 49 members of “One City” dedicated to serving the City of Twin Falls, and its citizens, workers, students, visitors, and businesses.  I have been a member of the fire service from the Seattle, Washington area since 1978.  I was promoted through the ranks in the Fire Service and have held positions as Lieutenant, Captain, Battalion Chief, Regional Deputy Chief of Training, and Deputy Chief of Operations.

Twin Falls Fire Department was established in 1906.  The Department has a proud history of protecting and caring for our community.  Much has changed since horse drawn steamers ran the streets of our city, but the one thing that hasn't changed is our members' commitment to service above all else.  Today the community is much safer because of advancements in code enforcement and our efforts in fire prevention and education.  Thus, modern firefighters are more versatile than ever as they spend as much of our time training, responding to medical emergencies, fires, and all other hazards.  We are also faced with the constant challenges of responding to and preparing for natural disasters, specialized rescue incidents like trench, hazardous materials, confined space, vehicle extrication and rope rescue calls.  The highly-trained and professional firefighters deliver an “all-hazards” response to over 5,400 incidents annually.  Our mission statement, As the Professional Fire Fighters of Twin Falls, we are dedicated to the continued excellence of life safety, fire suppression, education and community involvement.  We affirm our loyalty to our members, our profession and to the citizens we serve”, guides the actions of our employees each and every day.

With a servant's heart, an unwavering dedication, and an insatiable desire to move the Twin Falls City Fire Department forward.  I will strive to meet the communities’ needs and expectations.
