Planning and Zoning
The Planning and Zoning Department's responsibility is to help plan growth within the community and the city's area of impact and to administer the Comprehensive Plan and Title 10 of Twin Falls City Code.
The implementation of these include advising the City Manager, the City Council, the Planning & Zoning Commission and the public regarding the issues relating to land use and planning and zoning regulations of the city. The department reviews building permit requests, holds public hearings, and investigates and seeks resolution of zoning complaints.
Zoning Application Procedure
There are several situation that may require you to apply for a zoning permit. The steps for this process may differ depending on the type of action required however these apply to all permit times.
- Complete a pre-application meeting
- Submit a completed application
- Include your filing fees
- Attend the public meeting
