About Twin Falls Fire Department

The Twin Falls Fire Department (TFFD) consists of four fire stations a main fire station, two substations and an airport station, and consists of 49 full-time employees, and 1 part-time fire inspector. Services that are provided include, but are not limited to, fire suppression, motor vehicle accidents (non-injury and injury), vehicle extrication, technical rescue incidents (confined space rescue/high angle rescue), water rescues, aircraft rescue firefighting, emergency medical response (EMS), hazardous materials incidents, as well as ongoing fire prevention activities and fire safety education programs for the public. TFFD is the only all career fire department in the region. We are the major anchor point for an all-regional approach for all surrounding departments in the Magic Valley. As the anchor point, we work collectively to help better serve our community and maximize our funds and services. TFFD also conducts fire code inspections as well as pre-plan of local businesses, public and private schools, health care facilities, and retirement centers. This coverage encompasses approximately 75 square miles.

The city was awarded an insurance fire rating of three, which helps keep down insurance rates for all residents and business owners.
