Mayor Lance Clow has hosted several discussions on the Mayors' Initiative 2010. The proposals have been narrowed. An article entitled "Narrowing the Focus" describes the new approach developed by Mayor Clow. Initiative 2010 is a plan of action to implement activities leading to a revitalization of the historic town site of Twin Falls by the end of 2010. Anyone interested is invited to join him in these informal settings and visit about the Initiative or other ideas about revitalization.

One of the more exciting projects is a memorial created in honor of the men, women, veterans and citizens who contributed to our freedoms and civil liberties. Artistic conceptual renderings of the memorial project have been developed by local artist Richard Kuhn.  He developed  two conceptual layouts (1) (2) and two conceptual renderings (1) (2). The renderings give us a glimpse of what could be located in Historic Downtown. The memorials would be dedicated to the diversity of honored American veterans and citizens who made tremendous sacrifices to provide and protect the freedoms we enjoy today.

The location and the final design have not been determined. However, this project will contribute to tourism, bring more people to our Historic Downtown and expand the public art in Twin Falls.
