Baxter's Park

The Magic Valley Canine Social Club and the City of Twin Falls joined together to open the first dedicated community dog park in 2014. The park is located at the northeast corner of Blake Street North and Shoup Avenue West. attracting hundreds of dog owners and their four-legged friends to enjoy a little healthy exercise together.

Fund raising efforts made the dream a reality and donations are still being accepted through the Twin Falls Community Foundation - donors can receive a tax credit.

The Twin Falls Parks Department converted the empty field into a dog park by leveling the site, installing irrigation and landscaping, constructing a parking lot, and installing restroom facilities. Fencing was installed by volunteers led by County Commissioner Leon Mills.

For more information about Baxter's Park, please contact the Twin Falls Parks & Recreation Department at 208-736-2265 or if you wish to donate to the cause, please visit the Twin Falls Community Foundation website.

The City of Twin Falls would like to remind folks that owners are required to keep their dogs on a leash at all times outside of the fenced dog park. A fenced 'socialization' area at the entrance to the park allows owners to remove or attach leashes in a secured area. No leashes are required inside the fenced area of the dog park.
