Expect Lane Closures and Restrictions Beginning Thursday, June 29

The City of Twin Falls is continuing precursory work for significant roadway rehabilitation projects by installing valley gutters and new curbside ramps that are ADA accessible.
Beginning Thursday, June 29, REG Contracting, Inc. will close southbound traffic at the intersection of Madrona Street and Falls Avenue. The contractor is also expected to restrict traffic beginning Wednesday, July 5 to one lane at the intersection of Capri Drive and Falls Avenue to allow for the pouring and curing of new valley gutters. And beginning later that week, the contractor will restrict traffic to one lane at the intersection of Sunrise Boulevard and Falls Avenue to allow for the pouring and curing of new valley gutters.

The valley gutters will be poured one-half at a time. After sufficient curing of the first half of the valley gutter, the contractor will then modify the traffic restrictions and complete the second half. Robert Durham Excavating, Inc. will also close traffic beginning Friday, June 30, at Eastland Drive and Julie Lane to allow for pouring and curing of ADA accessible ramps on the west side of the intersection.
In April 2017, City Council authorized the use of street reserves to repair badly damaged roads caused by the extraordinary winter.  The precursory work must be done to address federal ADA requirements and to provide a smoother transition between streets prior to paving badly damaged roads that are slated for rehabilitation later this year.
Lane closures and restrictions are expected to be lifted within one week of the beginning of each closure or restriction. Questions or concerns about the project should be directed to Josh Baird, City of Twin Falls Staff Engineer, at 208-735-7323 or
